Jerry O'Flaherty Jerry O'Flaherty

Art Director / Filmmaker

Earning the first of many awards for computer animation as a teenager, Jerry worked to hone his skills in the digital realm while continuing to focus energy on more traditional mediums.  During his time in Film school at the University of North Texas, Jerry was running a game studio and directing a film project at the same time.  The success of his game company led to larger and higher profile studios and opportunities, Ion Storm and Westwood Studios to name just two. Most notably O'Flaherty was responsible for the award winning visuals in the massively successful game Gears of War.  His understanding of both the technical limitations and the artistic needs allowed him to craft a style that brought the video gaming experience to the most cinematic quality to date.  The critically acclaimed camera work and visual style are a direct result of Jerry's expertise as both a filmmaker and visual director.  Melding his video game knowledge with his work in the commercial and film world, O’Flaherty is intent on pushing the boundaries of how the two worlds overlap.
